I've Started My Own MAC Palette!

I can't believe today is New years eve! Hasn't this year gone by so fast? It's weird to think that in just a few hours it's going to be 2014, the start of a new year. I'm hoping to have a better year than this year, hopefully I'll have some great opportunities come my way and I'll meet some of my fellow bloggers and maybe meet someone special.
This year I don't see the point in making a new year resolution because some people never tend to stick to it anyway and if you want to change something you'll do it now, not wait until the new year. That's my opinion anyway!

I really hope you all have a great new years eve whether you're going out for a few drinks or staying in with the family. I'll be toasting the new year with the family with a few glasses of wine, perfection. I also hope you all have a great year in 2014, hopefully great things to come for you all!

Anyway enough of that chitchat, I'll stop right there and get straight to the point of this post now shall I?

A few weeks ago I started my very own MAC palette after a long time deliberating whether I should or not.

MAC Eyeshadow Palette

As you can see my palette is not completely full yet, it has only got four refill eyeshadows in at the moment but I'm working towards getting it full. I chose to get a single palette instead of a duo as I felt that 15 shadows were just enough for me. I also love that it has a see through lid as you can view all the shades inside, it looks so much more appealing and better that way. The palette itself cost me £14 and each refill costs £10 each which may seem quite expensive but worth the money.

So far in my palette I have the following shades:

MAC Eyeshadows

I use 'Corduroy' for a different purpose than the other shades as I use it for my eyebrows.
I don't have a particular favourite as of yet but 'Antiqued' and 'Cranberry' are great for creating smokey eyes.

Have you started a MAC palette yet? What are your favourite eyeshadows?

What I Got For Christmas 2013!

I have been slacking with my blog recently as you can tell as I used to be quite frequent with my posts but all of that's about to change in the new year, I hope.

Anyway I thought today I would show you the beauty related things that I got for Christmas this year but I would just like to say that I am in no way, shape or form bragging or showing off about anything I got at all. I am very ecstatic and grateful for everything that I received from my family and friends.

I didn't get many beauty items this year but that's mainly because everything I wanted I either bought previously or it wasn't in stock, boo! Don't you just hate it when that happens? But what can you do, it is the festive season after all!

What I got for Christmas 2013

Tresemme: The Catwalk Look 24/7- I was absolutely ecstatic to find that my sister had bought me this lovely tresemme set. It contains a mini shampoo, conditioner hairspray and hairbrush, eek!

TOWIE Smokey Moods Dazzling Eye Collection- My sister knows that I'm a big lover of The Only Way is Essex and I love to create smokey eyes so I was so happy and surprised to find this lovely set which includes a trio of eyeshadows and liquid eyeliner.

TOWIE Party Peepers Complete Eye Collections- Yet again I was so surprised to find another set from TOWIE which includes an eyeshadow quad , liquid eyeliner and two pairs of eyelashes. I can see myself using this a lot in the future to create various night time looks.

TOWIE Love Addict Perfume- My lovely best friend Josh bought me this for Christmas but he let me open it on Christmas eve and I am so thrilled about it. He too knows that I am a big lover of TOWIE but I really didn't expect him to get me anything at all let alone this lovely little perfume.

What I got for Christmas 2013

St Moriz Loves to Party- My lovely Nan gave me some money to spend and I picked out this lovely St Moriz Tanning set. I had to wrap it up straight after I bought it so i could open it up on Christmas day but I was still excited to finally open it so I could start using it. I have done a review on the Dark Tanning Mousse that you can take a look at here

Real Techniques Sam's Picks- I think out of everything I got I was most excited about opening this, mainly because I've been wanting it for so long.

Lynx Attract for Her- I absolutely adore this scent so I was so happy to find that my parents had got me this.

Delightful Mango Collection- I was so stunned to find this lovely bag with Mango body wash and body butter that I got from my Uncle. It's like he was reading my mind! I absolutely love Mango scented body products.

What I got for Christmas 2013

Solait Self Tanning Mitt- I got this along with the St Moriz tanning set for the most obvious reasons.

So Kiss Me Set- In this set includes a lip balm, perfume and body lotion. I haven't used it yet but I love the scent.

Sex In The City 'Lust' Perfume- Yet again another gorgeous scent that I love. I see myself using it a lot in the future.

The Bodyshop White Musk Shower & Moisture- I love musky scents, it's so lovely and I adore it so I was happy to receive this from my grandparents.

MUA Mosaic Blush in 'English Rose'- The very few makeup related things that I received this year is this lovely blush. I remember a beauty blogger and youtuber doing a makeup tutorial using it and it looked so beautiful and natural so I thought it was worth picking up with the Christmas money my nan gave me.

Collection Volume Sensation 'Perfect Pink'- I swatched this a few times on the back of my hand and instantly fell in love with it so I picked it up with the Christmas money my nan gave me too.

Elegant Touch 'Glitter Tickled Pink'- I haven't used fake nails at all but I instantly picked these up in the shop yet again with the Christmas money from my Nan.
I'm looking forward to trying these out.

What I got for Christmas 2013
What I got for Christmas 2013

I also got this cute manicure set, Isn't it lovely? I'm so terrible with my keeping my nails in good condition so this little kit will be helpful.

Sorry if this post appeared long!  I am going to repeat that I am not at all showing off or bragging about anything I got this year!

What did you receive for Christmas this year?

Christmas Gift Guide | Last Minute Stocking Fillers For Her

It's now been at least a week since I last posted but I have now officially finished my work experience so I will have more time and energy to start regular blogging again. I have been meaning to do this post for a while now but Christmas shopping and work experience has been so time consuming for me that I hadn't gotten around to it yet but here it is, my gift guide on last minute shopping fillers for you lovely girls, and boys of course!

If you're running low on ideas on what to get your partner, sister, daughter or friend for christmas then I hope I have made things easier for you by putting this together.

Last Minute Stocking Fillers for Her

Last Minute Stocking Fillers for Her

 1) Eylure Katy Perry Oh Honey Day to Eve Lashes

First of all are obviously lashes! I don't wear false lashes very often except for nights out or special occasions but I'd never go for any other brand but Eylure. You can get them online from Eylure or in various Superdrug and Boots stores. You can wear these fab lashes repeatedly and they're inexpensive at just £5.95.

2) The Joyful Gingerbread House

In this lovely festive Gingerbread includes Cranberry & Gingerbread 60ml shower gel, Cranberry and Gingerbread 50ml body butter and a Mini Crinkle Lily Cream for just £12 from The Bodyshop. If you were to buy this product you would be supporting the project to help give young children around the world a better education and a happy future.

3) Maybelline Color Show Kit

In this set comes a trio of 3  lovely full sized varnishes, a sparkly burgundy, bright red, and a mink shade. This lovely set of polishes would be a perfect stocking filler for a nail varnish enthusiast. This set costs £7.99 and you can get it online from Superdrug and I'm pretty sure you can get it in store too.

4) Dove Real Beauty Duo

I have a love for Dove body products, they're so lovely! I adore the scents and always give my skin a 'silky' feeling if that makes sense. In this Dove set includes Silk glow body wash, Cream oil body wash and a luxurious body puff all for just £4.50 from Superdrug. If you have a Wilkinsons store nearby you they have a 3 for £10 deal on all Christmas gifts with this set included so it's definitely worth checking out.

5) Lynx Attract For Her Duo

I have personally gone through nearly 2 of these sets and the scent is amazingly lovely! You wouldn't expect it as it's actually mainly a men's brand. In this set is a 150ml Bodyspray and 250ml shower gel and it only costs £4.50 from Superdrug and you can also find it in a nearby Wilkinsons store or in Boots.

6) Bourjois Limited Edition Bronze Up Makeup Kit

This is most probably the best bargain that I've come across including a bronzing powder, 3d Lipgloss, Mini eyeliner, Bronzing brush and blush from the brand Bourjois. The bronzing powder and blush in particular are favoured among many beauty bloggers, this would be so perfect for the beauty lovers. You can get this set online from ASOS for just £13.00.

7) St Moriz Loves to Party Sparkle Gift Set

If the person you're buying for is a massive lover of tan then this gift set would be perfect for her! Included in this set is a 200ml Dark Self Tan Mousse, 100ml Instant bronzing gel and 9.0g of Bronzing powder. For just £9.50 how inexpensive is that? You can also buy it from Wilkinsons for just £8.

8) Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick

Rimmels lasting finish lipstick is a lovely stocking filler for those lipstick lovers out there!
Rimmel is actually quite an inexpensive brand and have a lovely selecting of shades. These lipsticks are definitely worth the money at £4.99 and they are currently 3 for 2 in both Superdrug and Boots as far as I'm aware.

Hope this helped you with your late christmas shopping! What are you hoping to receive this Christmas?

Batiste Dry Shampoo: Fruity and Cheeky Cherry Review

Two posts in a space of the day I hear you say? Yes, well I've wanted to share this with you since I got this a while ago and I have to say I absolutely adore and swear by this product. It is of course the Batiste Cherry Dry Shampoo! It was recently in my November favourites post which you can check out here.
Batiste Fruity and Cheeky Cherry Dry Shampoo
My hair tends to start feeling a little greasy in between washes and I absolutely hate that feeling, don't you? I don't wash my hair every single day but then again who does? The more you wash your hair the more grease it produces.

Anyway, I decided to have a browse through Boots in the haircare section to see if they had any products that would help me with the 'greasy problem' and I came across the Batiste dry shampoo range. I have tried the Tropical scent before but I wasn't too keen on the smell so I stopped using it. I tested all the scents out before I picked one up and the one that stood out to me the most was the Batiste dry shampoo in 'Cherry'.

I adore the smell of it, it's so fruity and sweet, it was like heaven. I looked at the price tag and it's incredibly inexpensive for just £2.99 for 200ml.

I have to admit this dry shampoo is an absolute hair saviour! It combats grease brilliantly leaving my hair feeling instantly refreshed. You have to make sure that you don't spray it too close to your hair otherwise you'll look like you have grey roots and that's never a good look.

On the back of the can it has instructions on how to use it if you're new to dry shampoo.
You just spray a good 20cm from the roots and rub it in and comb through your locks, it's as simple as that.

Batiste has a whole range of different scents that I'd love to try and I will definitely be picking up a new one once I run out of this little beauty.

Have you tried the Batiste Dry Shampoos?

My Ramblings

It seems that I may have neglected my blog a little over the last two months or so and I haven't wrote a post since maybe a week ago and I apologize but I promise I have a good excuse. I'm towards the end of my work experience now, there's only a few days left to go now and I have to admit I will miss it, I've met so many lovely people over the last two months. Once the work experience is over I will be posting more frequently, I have so many lovely posts for you in the future and I want to thank everyone that follows me for following and reading my blog since the beginning, I appreciate it.

Anyway onto a whole different subject, CHRISTMAS! I am so excited! Not long now, there are only 10 days to go, not that I'm counting it down or anything. I finally have my Christmas tree, decorations and fairy lights up, it's looking so christmassy now, it's definitely got me more into the Christmas spirit.

Here's a little peek of my Christmas tree this year! I just wanted to share it with you, I think it looks so pretty.

Christmas Tree

I'm going to be sad to see Christmas end but I am looking forward to the New Year.
You know what everyone says, a new year, a new start! Hopefully next year will be much more exciting and I'll have lovely opportunities come my way, fingers crossed!
Does anyone have any new year resolutions this year? I never seem to stick to mine.
Let me know what your resolutions are in the comments, I'd love to know.

A big Merry Christmas to all my beautiful followers and to anyone that reads my blog!

Week 2 | I'm a Beauty Blogger, Get Me Out Of Here!

Oh my, I have been running a little far behind with this tag as it's week three now and the finale is on Sunday night, eek! I am so sad to see it ending already but it has been a pretty good three weeks of viewing. There has been plenty of laughs, drama and arguments and it's been so fun to watch.

To see my answers from week one take a look here.

I'm A Beauty Blogger Get Me Out of Here Tag

Now, let's take a look at the questions...

 1) Firstly congratulations! You won last weeks bush tucker trial and your reward is a makeover from a professional make-up artist. What would you choose and why?
I would go for a lovely brown smokey eye to make my eyes appear bigger and finish the look with a nude lip so I don't look too overdone.

 2) It's time to wash- okay so it's not a luxury shower or a bath but you do get a choice of one soap/shower gel to use. What would you choose and why?
I'd choose The Bodyshop Raspberry or Vineyard peach shower gel purely because they're such lovely scents.

3) Today is the arrival of a new camp mate, yay! You get to decide, it can be anyone this time. Who will it be and why?
I'd probably choose Jamie Laing or Ollie Locke from Made in Chelsea purely because they  seem like such a good laugh and down to earth.

4) It can be a little boring in the jungle and you're feeling sluggish. What one fitness exercise would you do?
I'd do dance, I did majorettes for a long time so I'd probably just bust some random dance moves and make a fool of myself.

5) How would you create your own jungle fashion style?
Agh, this is a difficult question but I'd probably do the exact same thing as Amy Willerton and go for a Britney Spears type style and tie my top up, that's about as creative as I'd get haha.

6) What's your favourite Australian product and why?
Well this is easy, it has to be the Aussie Shampoo and Conditioner range because it has improved my hairs condition so much, I swear by the stuff!

7) Good news, the camp has won the treasure chest! In need of something sweet, each camp mate wins their own cupcake. What would yours be?
I'd go for a 'butterfly' cake with buttercream, they're so lovely! They're a childhood favourite of mine.

8) Challenge- bush tucker trial number 2, 'the jungle hair & beauty salon'. You're sitting under a vintage hair dryer and instead of hot air being blasted out you are greeted by 10,000 creepy crawlies. Which creepy crawlies would you detest the most and which ones wouldn't you mind?
I'm fine with spiders but I'd hate any bigger bugs like cockroaches.

November Favourites

I know I keep saying I'll try and do posts more frequently over the last couple of weeks but so many things have been getting on top of me so apologies. I still have some Christmas shopping to do and I've been ill on and off over the last few weeks. There is nothing I dislike more than neglecting my blog so hopefully it will start becoming more frequent once I start feeling better and things are back to normal.

Anyway, guess what? It's finally December! I'm sure you've noticed that with the freezing cold weather and the Christmas decorations getting put up. I thought today would be the perfect time to show you a few products that I have been using constantly and has since became a favourite of mine to use. You may recognize a few of them as they are so popular within the beauty community with other beauty bloggers.

November Beauty Favourites

Urban Decay Naked Palette

I bought this little beauty about a month ago and it's become an absolute favourite of mine since. This palette includes 12 different eyeshadow shades, many of which are shimmer and it also includes 2 matte shades. To see pictures and swatches, take a look here.

MAC 217 Blending Brush

I have had this on my MAC lust list for quite a while now and I always use it to blend my eyeshadow in to make my eye makeup look less harsh and more toned down, it works a treat.

Maybelline 24hr Color Tattoo in 'Metallic Pomegranate'

I did a review on this about a week ago which you can check out here. It's so quick to apply and really makes my green eyes pop! I love it, it is definitely worth the hype.

Rimmel Colour Rush Balm in 'Give Me a Cuddle'

There are a few of these in various different colors and I picked this one up along with 'Drive Me Nude'. It is very moisturizing and gives a lovely pop of color to the lips, almost a bit like a lip gloss but better.

Batiste Dry Shampoo: Cherry

I love the smell of this, it's sweet and fruity which I adore. I always use this to give my hair an instant refresh when my roots start to get a little greasy, it's a real life saver.

Have you used any of these products? If so, I'd love to know what you think of them too!

How I Clean My Makeup Brushes

How to Clean Makeup Brushes

Today I am bringing to you a step by step tutorial on how to clean your makeup brushes properly. Now, I have to admit when I first started getting into makeup and using makeup brushes I didn't think that cleaning them was necessary at all but now I understand why it should be done. It makes me feel a little sick that I used to never wash my brushes at all not knowing I wasspreading bacteria all over my face, eww! You would be quite surprised at how many people never wash their brushes, I'm disgusted that I used to be one of those people. I am quite obsessed with deep cleaning my makeup brushes now and I do it every single weekend.

It is an absolute must to deep clean your makeup brushes at least once a week as everytime you use them they collect makeup, dirt, bacteria and oil and they get stuck to the bristles. It is extremely important to clean them especially if you are acne prone as using dirty brushes can spread more bacteria onto your face causing an unexpected breakout to appear.

To learn how to clean your brushes properly you can follow my step by step tutorial below.

How to Clean your Makeup BrushesHow to Clean your Makeup Brushes Step One:
You start by running your brush underneath lukewarm water to rinse out the makeup.
Make sure that you don't put the handle anywhere near the water as it can loosen the glue on the brush and bristles may start to fall out.

Step Two and Three:
Grab some baby shampoo and pour it onto the palm of your hand.

Step Four:
Swirl your brush into the shampoo in a circling motion to create a lather and then rinse out under lukewarm water. If there is still a build up of makeup stuck to the bristles you can pour some virgin olive oil onto your hand and swirl your brush in a circle motion and rinse in lukewarm water. If there is still some makeup left after this then keep repeating this step.

Step Five:
Reshape the brush and lay it down flat on a towel to dry.

Step Six:
Repeat all steps for all your brushes and set them all down onto the towel to dry when finished.

Spot Cleaning!

You can also spot clean your brushes using a brush cleaner or baby shampoo.
You apply the brush cleaner or baby shampoo onto a tissue and wipe your brush up and down and in a circling motion.

I hope I made this sound simple for you or helped you in some way.

The Christmas Tag 2013

Christmas Tag 2013

Hello beauties, I guess the title of the post says it all doesn't it? It's getting closer and closer to Christmas day now, eek, exciting! Only 26 sleeps now until Christmas! No doubt that it is my favorite time of the year. It's not just about giving and receiving presents, it's about spending time with the family, having a laugh and then you can end the year on a high and start afresh. I can only wish and hope that next year is so much better than this year. This year hasn't exactly been the best year for me but then again who doesn't have at least one negative thing happen in the space of a year.

Anyway, lately I have seen so many Christmas tags swanning around the beauty community and I was amazed at how many of them there were but this one in particular caught my eye as I felt like the answers came naturally to me rather than having to think about it more than most.

Here are the questions and my answers:

1. What is your favourite Christmas Song?
Urm that's a little difficult as I have a few but I have to say my favourite song is 'I wish it could be Christmas everyday' by Slade as it reminds me of Christmas in my childhood.

2. Which is your favourite festive drink?
Hmm, I love hot drinks during the festive season, I always seem to drink cups of tea or have a hot chocolate and maybe a glass of wine or two so nothing special really.

3. Do you have a favourite Christmas film?
I don't really have a favorite as I love most Christmas films so I can't really choose.

4. What is at the top of your Christmas list this year?
Hmm, I don't have a huge Christmas list but the Tom Ford lipsticks are definitely at the top of my list as they are fairly expensive at £36 each.

 5. What is your favourite festive make-up or nail art look?
I'm not particularly festive or creative with my makeup or nail art but for makeup I'd say a smokey eye with a nice berry lipstick. For nail art I'd either have a dark or berry shade polish, I am pretty basic when it comes to my nails or nail art in particular.

 6. What is your favourite outfit at Christmas time (LBD, Christmas Jumper, PJ's)
I like to dress a little different during Christmas day so I'd either wear a dress (I don't own a black one) or skinny jeans, a blazer and a lovely top. I'm not a big fan of Christmassy jumpers if I'm honest but during the night time I'd probably wear some comfortable pj's with a onesie.

 7. Would you rather play out in the snow or enjoy it from the inside with the fire and a cuppa?
I don't cope well outside in the cold so I'd say I'd enjoy it from the inside unless my nephew was to drag me outside to play in the snow with him then I would enjoy it from the outside.

 8. Wrapping presents Love or Loath?
I love wrapping presents! I like the thought of wrapping up the presents ready for my family to open on Christmas day, it's exciting because I won't know what there reaction is until the day.

 9. What is your favourite Christmassy food?
Obviously the easiest question! Without a doubt, a roast dinner! Who doesn't love a nice bit of turkey, a few potatoes, Yorkshire puddings, stuffing and pig in blankets on their plate at Christmas? Apart from vegetarians of course. Typing that made me a little hungry if I'm honest, it sounds so yummy!

 10. What is your favourite thing about Christmas?
My favourite thing about Christmas has to be the atmosphere, spending time with the family, having a laugh with them and relaxing. There is never a dull moment with my family on Christmas day.

I hope this helped you to get into the Christmas spirit because I most definitely am, I am so excited!

My November Beauty Wishlist

It feels so good to finally be writing a post after having a few days break from blogging. I didn't know I was going to take a break but due to illness and work experience I haven't really had the chance to settle down and think about writing a post for you guys.

Anyway I hope you all enjoyed your weekend! My weekend has been extremely busy and exhausting but fun nonetheless. I've started to perk up a little now and I really want to get back to blogging so I'll try my best to get back to posting frequently again.

Anyway enough about all that, lets get down to the point of this post shall we?

Yet again I have been reading way too many beauty related posts and I've got a few things in mind that I really want to treat myself to. A girls got to treat herself right? I have so many things that I want to get this month before Christmas but I've managed to narrow it down to four of them. If I don't buy them before Christmas they will get popped onto my Christmas list for Santa!

November Beauty Wishlist
MAC Skinfinish in Soft and Gentle

A few weeks ago in a #bbloggers chat I asked a few of you lovely bloggers for a recommendation for a highlighter and the majority of you suggested the MAC Skinfinish in Soft and Gentle. I have heard about this so many times! MAC says it is a luxurious velvet-soft powder with high-frost metallic finish. This sounds so lovely. Unfortunately it's out of stock at the moment so I'm hoping it will come back in stock soon before Christmas. You can buy it from a department store such as Debenhams and Selfridges, online or at a nearby MAC store for £22.

 Tom Ford Lip Color

These lovely lip colors are popping up everywhere on various blogs recently and they have been so highly recommended by many of you. There are so many shades that I want but if I had to choose at least 3 of them I'd pick Pink Dusk, Spanish Pink and Nude Vanille. They do have a hefty price tag which I am not particularly keen on so I do have high expectations for these lipsticks. You can buy the Lip Colors from department stores such as Selfridges and House of Fraser or online for £36.

Estee Lauder Double Wear

Yet again, I asked on a #bbloggers chat what the bloggers favorite medium/full coverage foundation was as I needed a new foundation and most of them/you had said the Estee Lauder Double Wear. I have to admit I have been curious to try it out for a while but I never wanted to part with my money as I was happy with my Revlon Colorstay. I have seen a few reviews on this product and many beauty bloggers said it gives a lovely natural finish so I knew then I had to get it. The Estee Lauder Double Wear can be purchased online from their website or department store websites or you can buy it in your nearby department store for £28.50.

REN Glycolactic Radiance Renewal Mask

A week ago I read a review about the REN Glycolactic Radiance Renewal Mask on one of my favorite bloggers blog. Before I read her post I have to admit I had never heard of it before but after reading it I really want it. REN says it's 'A potent bio active peel mask designed to renew the complexion, reduce the appearance of fine lines and dramatically improve skin tone'. This sounds so good and it has so many positive reviews too!
You can buy it online for £30.

Have you tried any of these? If so, what are your opinions?

Week 1 | I'm a Beauty Blogger, Get Me Out of Here!

A few days ago two lovely girls called Rochelle and Natasha from Next Route Style created the most brilliant tag called 'I'm a Beauty Blogger, Get Me Out of Here due to the series having started on Sunday evening on ITV1. There will be three posts in the period of time that the series is on. I will be answering a series of questions in relation to I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here and being a Beauty Blogger.

I absolutely love I'm a Celeb and I'm really excited to be getting involved in this tag.
If you're reading this post and want to get involved make sure you post your blog post link to the lovely girls at Next Route Style here.

I'm a Beauty Blogger Get me Out of Here Tag

This is Week 1 of 3 so keep tuned over the following week or two if you want to take a look my answers.

 1) You can only take ONE product into the jungle (aka your luxury item). What would you choose and why?
Oh, this is so difficult! Probably foundation because I have quite a fair few acne scars and I don't have the most flawless skin so I'd like to have some coverage.

2) What would be your main pre jungle worry?
Hmm, probably bugs! Surely there's nothing worse than sleeping in a sleeping bag with creepy crawlies!

3) You only have five minutes to get ready before going into the jungle, what would be your quick beauty routine?
I would apply a little bit of my Revlon Colorstay or MAC Studio Fix, fill my eyebrows in with my Smashbox Brow Tech and coat my lashes with my Rimmel Day 2 Nite Mascara.

 4) Last year we saw Helen Flanagan wearing her hair in a top bun. What would be your signature hairstyle?
I'd put my hair into a lovely fishtail braid, it's surprisingly easy and it's such a cute hair style.

5) For moral support, which female celebrity would you like to be in the jungle with you?
Hmm, probably Charlotte Crosby from Geordie Shore, she is absolutely hilarious and she seems so sweet.

6) Everyone’s given a role in the camp. What lifestyle skill would you bring to the jungle?
Oh wow, this is an even more difficult question than the first.
I have to admit I am absolutely useless at both cooking and cleaning so I'd probably be the lazy one, socializing with others and sunbathing.

7) What one thing about being a beauty blogger sometimes makes you want to scream ‘Get Me Out Of Here’?
Having a huge wishlist of things that you want but you have no money in the bank, boo!

8) Challenge- This is a once in a lifetime opportunity. You're up for a trial to face your fears or try something new, what would you choose to do and why?
My worst fear is Sharks but as it's in the jungle I would love to try a new thing like the Cyclone Challenge, it looks so fun and challenging!

If you've read this post you are all tagged, so get blogging my lovelies!

Maybelline 24hr Color Tattoos Review | Pink Gold and Metallic Pomegranate

Maybeline Color Tattoos Pink Gold and Metallic Pomegranate

Hello beauties, I hope you've had a lovely weekend, doesn't time go by so fast?
I am so excited for Christmas this year!

Anyway a few weeks ago I was so stunned to find out that I'd one a blog giveaway that was hosted by a lovely girl called Sammy from 'Blinkered Barbie'. I have to give her a huge thank you for that, it's the first thing I've won in my life! These lovely Maybelline 24hr Color Tattoos were amongst many other products that I won in the giveaway and I couldn't resist trying them out the moment I got them through the post.

They have been so highly recommended in the blogging community this year. There have been so many fantastic reviews from bloggers about these shadows by Maybelline and they were even compared to the MAC paint pots so you can imagine how excited I was to try them out.

The shades I got were 'Pink Gold' and 'Metallic Pomegranate'. Pink Gold' is a lovely pink shade with little flecks of gold which reflects so beautifully in the light and 'Metallic Pomegranate' is a Burgundy/Cranberry shade with a mix of gold and silver flecks which works perfectly with my green eyes this season.

Here are some swatches to give you a good idea of what the shades are like:

Maybelline Color Tattoos Pink Gold Swatch, Maybelline Metallic Pomegranate Swatch

I have to admit these are the very first cream shadows I have tried as I was pretty worried that they would crease but they didn't. The Color Tattoos are a mix of gel-cream shadows and they come in a handy sturdy glass pot. They look quite solid in the pot but once you swatch it, it melts onto your finger and it feels so creamy. I can't comment on the 24hr lasting power as I don't see a time where I would need to wear the shadows for that period of time but however they lasted quite well for 9 hours when I was on my work experience.

The very first time I used the shadows I was amazed at how well they applied onto my lids, they glided on beautifully. You can forget about using a brush for application, you can use your fingers to apply the shadows instead. The thing I love about these shadows is that you can do your eye makeup in at least 2-3 minutes.  As for the pigmentation, it's brilliant and the shade 'Metallic Pomegranate' is quite deep and a little intense that it doesn't need to be built up. As for the shade 'Pink Gold' it is quite a pale pink so you need to build it up a little for the color to show.

For a normal quick daytime look I use my fingers to apply the 'Pink Gold' shade as a base color and 'Metallic Pomegranate' on the outer corners and apply liquid liner on my top lash line.

Overall I am so impressed with this product and I really want to try the shade 'On and On Bronze'. I highly recommend this product to anyone! You can buy the Maybelline 24hr Color Tattoos for just £4.99 from Boots or Superdrug and come in various other shades.
