Natural Collection Blushed Cheeks | Review

Natural Collection Blushed Cheeks
Natural Collection Blushed Cheeks

Hello lovelies! I hope you've all had a wonderful weekend, I sure did. Today I wanted to share with you a favourite blush of mine which happens to be considerably cheap and on the bargain side of beauty. They are of course the Natural Collection Blushed Cheeks.
If you are a little unexperienced with Natural Collection then you'd like to know that they are a bargain brand that you can only purchase at your local Boots store. All of Natural Collections products are at least under £5 so you are guaranteed to find a product that is of great value.

Firstly the packaging of the blushers aren't at all appealing but a little bit flimsy and basic for my liking. I have had trouble with pans falling out of it's packaging which is incredibly annoying but thankfully none of my pans have actually broken. If it breaks you can easily
replace it again anyway, it's no big deal as they retail at just £1.99 each. Not bad eh?
Although the packaging is quite basic I like the idea of a see through lid as you're able to see the shade through the packaging so you know what shade it is. There's no need to check the name of the blush at the bottom. I also quite like how small they are, they're small, circular shaped with twistable lids and very travel friendly. You can just pop it into your makeup bag without it taking up much space leaving more space for the rest of your beauty bits and pieces.

As for the shade range, well as far as I'm aware they stock 6 shades. Not very extensive but there's something for everyone.
I have 3 of the 6 shades; Sweet Cheeks, Pink Cloud and Peach Melba.
Sweet Cheeks is a coral pink, but leans more on the pink side, Pink Cloud is a pale pink and Peach Melba is a beautiful peach shade.
They are all quite lightly pigmented, not overly so like most blushes I own but I think it's a good plus. As the pigmentation isn't incredibly high you are able to build the blush up to your hearts desire, creating lovely flushed cheeks without creating that clown look we all dread.
The texture of the blushers are what I can only describe as a little soft but chalky which sounds confusing, I know but they have great lasting power, they lasted a good 5/6 hours during a hot summers day when I was shopping which is surprising and quite impressive.

One thing I would say to you is never judge it by it's cover, although the packaging isn't of the best quality you will be pleasantly surprised at the productitself. I have been using them quite often, daily even and I am still impressed with them. My favourite of them all has to be 'Pink Cloud', it's the perfect everyday blush shade.

Have you tried the Natural Collection Blushed Cheeks?

My September Beauty Wishlist

Hello lovelies! This month I am lusting over an unbelievable amount of beauty products from both the high end and drugstore. What a surprise! At the moment I'm focusing on spending my pennies on the baby and maternity wear and saving some money aside for the future so I will only be spoiling myself every so often. Every mummy to be deserves to be spoilt every once in a while don't they? My beauty wishlist at the moment is getting longer and longer by the minute. There's so many products that I'm lusting over at the moment that I thought it'd be best to just show you the beauty bits that are at the very top of the wishlist, as always.

September Beauty Wishlist

Marc Jacobs Daisy Dream
I'm sure everyone and their mother has this perfume either in their possesion or on their wishlist at the moment and it's no surprise. I popped into my local Boots store when it was released and oh my, it's such a beautiful, dreamy scent like the other signature Daisy scents. Also, isn't that bottle just so pretty? I am completely drawn in by it. I already have Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau so Fresh and Delight so what's another beautiful perfume to my ever growing collection?  I definitely need this in my life.

Too Faced Natural Eyes Palette
I am a complete 'nudie' when it comes to eye makeup, I don't like to be too dramatic and keep it rather subtle so it's hardly a surprise that I fell for this eyeshadow palette by Too Faced. This palette has all the shades you could possibly want to use for an everyday makeup look.

Anastasia Beverley Hills DipBrow Pomade
After getting bored with my usual eyebrow routine I've decided that I want to mix it up and experience with a few new products and the Dipbrow Pomade is the first thing on my list to try. I have quite light brows so I like to keep them quite defined and full and this seems to be the perfect product to help achieve that according to the many positive reviews I've read.

Real Techniques Starter Kit
I am a huge fan of RT makeup brushes, I have so many of them and use them on an everyday basis when it comes to makeup application. They are of such great quality and I am in need of some more eye makeup brushes so that's where this Starter Kit comes in.

Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lipstick
I admittedly have never tried anything from Charlotte Tilbury's range. Shock, horror! Such a bad blogger! But when I came across the newly released Matte Revolution lipsticks, well I couldn't resist adding a few of the shades to my wishlist. The shades I am lusting over are Amazing Grace, Lost Cherry, Glastonberry and Sexy Sienna. At £23 a lipstick I don't think I'll be picking them up anytime soon but they will be in my possesion one day, guaranteed.

What's on your Wishlist this month?

Richard Ward Anti-Ageing Argan Shampoo and Conditioner | Review

Richard Ward Anti-Ageing Argan Shampoo and Conditioner
Richard Ward Anti-Ageing Argan Shampoo and Conditioner

Hello lovelies! A few months ago I was offered the chance to try out a few products from Richard Wards Anti-Ageing Argan range and of course I jumped at the chance.I received the Anti-Ageing Shampoo, Conditioner and Mousse but so far I've only got around to giving both the Shampoo and Conditioner a whirl.

As the name of the products suggests the Anti-Ageing range is aimed at the more mature women or men to prevent the effects of ageing. As you get older, the finer and thinner your hair becomes, the more difficult it is to manage.
I'm only in my early 20's so I'm afraid I am unable to comment on the anti-ageing aspects of the Shampoo and Conditioner but nonethless they are both incredibly great products for various reasons.

I have used the Shampoo and Conditioner every single day I've washed my hair for the last few months and I am absolutely loving the effects they have had on my hair.
You get 250ml worth of product in each bottle although you don't need to use much of the product to apply to the hair. Both bottles have lasted me nearly 3 months which is incredible, although as expected I ran out of my Shampoo before the Conditioner. Why do they never run out around the same time?
The formula is of a slightly thick texture and lathers up really well and applies easily but smoothly to the lengths of my hair.
As for the scent, well it's hard to put my finger on, it's almost fruity but incredibly subtle rather than being too overpowering.

I have quite fine, damaged hair which is most probably down to the bleach and hair dye I've applied to my scalp over the last few years and I sometimes find it incredibly difficult to manage. My hair tends to get tangled and breaks easily and the Shampoo and Conditioner as a combination have completely revitalized my hair.

After rinsing and towel drying my hair my hair brush is able to run through my locks smoothly with ease. No pulling or tugging on the hair, Phew! Completely pain free.
I also find that my hair is given a slight boost at the roots, especially after blow drying through the hair afterwards which I happen to looove.

After use my hair feels softer, sleeker and incredibly nourished with an extra boost at the roots. What's not to love?

I thinks this may be down to the main ingredients, Argan Oil and Olea Leaf. Argan Oil is well known for it's rejuvenating, smoothing, healing properties and admittedly I have never heard of Olea Leaf. As it says on the back of the bottle the Olea Leaf helps to restore the hairs lustre, shine and condition.

I am so unbelievably impressed at how these products have worked for my hair. You can purchase the Richard Ward Anti-Ageing Shampoo and Conditioner for an impressive price of just £5.99 each. Find the full Anti-Ageing range and more from Richard Ward here.

Week 21 Pregnancy Update

Hello there lovelies! Firstly I must apologize for the lack of posting, again. If I am truly honest I have just been a teeny bit lazy in between working and my appointments over the last 2 weeks.
Anyway, it's been just over 2 weeks ago that I finally revealed my pregnancy to you all. I was finding it incredibly difficult keeping it from everyone. I am shocked I managed to keep it quiet for so long.

I am now 21 weeks and 6 days, halfway into my pregnancy and the last 2 weeks have flied by, thankfully without any drama. Did I ever mention my little erm, incident in New Look just over a month ago? No? Well, that was an awkward moment. One minute I was chatting to my Aunty and Sister, the next I had fainted onto the floor and  surrounded by people in the store. Thankfully, everything has ran smoothly since then without any fainting episodes.

During our 19 week scan me and my partner found out the baby's gender and I can reveal that we are expecting a little baby boy. As you can imagine, me and Josh are completely thrilled to bits.

Since we found out we're expecting a baby boy I have gone a little crazy with the clothes shopping which was to be expected. The cutest things I have bought so far happened to be from Sainsburys from the 'TU' range. One of my favourite pieces has to be a little teddy bear cardigan which I found on a sale rail for £4.50 down from £9, it was too cute to resist.

The morning sickness(or in my case, night sickness) has actually subsided, it's not completely disappeared like I'd hoped but I'm sure it will be over with soon. I have been waking up recently with a slight headache and sometimes a tummy ache which isn't a great feeling I want to wake up to, especially if I am working early in the morning towards the afternoon.

My appetite has got a lot better, I can eat most foods that I couldn't eat before a few weeks ago due to the smells or taste making me feel icky. Some days are good though and some days are bad. One day I can eat plenty and the next my appetite isn't the best. I'm sure it will improve.

My bump is now showing a lot more. Due to being skinny it has took me a bit longer to show than others but I can now say I have a pretty small but cute baby bump. The baby has been incredibly active since 19 weeks, sometimes it feels like he's having a little roll around and my partner felt the baby move for the first time last week which was an incredible moment.
Feeling my son move around inside me has to be one of the most incredible, beautiful feelings ever, it almost feels like butterflies in your stomach but better.

I'm really struggling to find clothes that fit me still. I may have to start purchasing tops and jumper in a size up and buy some more maternity jeans. I am definitely in need of yet another clothes shop!

Anyway, I hope you are all doing great and having a good week so far. I hope you enjoy following my pregnancy journey!
