I recently published a blog post about The Body Shop Christmas launch (have a read here) and after a week of using the products that I purchased, I decided it was time to let you know how I have got on with some of them.
I absolutely love the Vanilla Brûlée Christmas range and I was so excited to try out the body polish from this collection. I am completely in love with this product. Not only does it provide a gentle exfoliation, it cleanses and smoothes my body leaving it feeling soft and rid of dry and dead skin. I love the smell too, it is so creamy and indulgent. I am guilty of having applied it twice on one occasion just because I found the scent so luxuriously dreamy. I will have to work on my self control otherwise I will find myself getting through the bottle much too fast!
I love the shea sugar body scrub. I use fake tan on a regular basis and so I often need a strong body scrub to remove remnants of the tan when it begins to strip away leaving my skin streaky. This product was the perfect answer. I was told in the shop that this is the grittiest scrub in their range and I am impressed with the results. My skin was left feeling completely exfoliated and got rid of every last brown speck of tan yet wasn’t so intense that it left my skin feeling sore. I am lucky that my skin doesn’t tend to get dry, nor is it that sensitive so I don’t know whether others who do suffer with dry and sensitive skin might find the scrub too aggressive. This product also smells divine. It is very different to the vanilla brûlée, providing a much simpler and lighter smell. It is one of cleanliness and I just feel so fresh and natural after using it.
Great results from The Body Shop yet again! I definitely have my eye on the rest of the Vanilla Brûlée range. In particular I definitely want to buy lip balm because the flavour is one that I imagine would taste amazing and no one can have too many lip balms during the colder months!
