Just over a year ago I was introduced to a brand called Kiss Cosmetics. I have even reviewed one of their products called the Scrub Stick here on the blog but they have since had a complete overhaul and are now known as Saturated Colour. They are an affordable cruelty free brand. They also have a selection of products that are suitable for Vegans too which is always good to hear.
As I was saying, I had previously reviewed a product when they were known as Kiss Cosmetics called the *Scrub Stick. I received this and also one of the *Lip Vinyls too as they rebranded. The packaging of the Scrub Stick is exactly the same, a chunky cylinder tube(similar to a pritt stick). It's a hybrid of a lip scrub and lip balm. Pretty hand to use if you suffer from cracked lips whatever the weather. You can apply it directly from the scrub stick itself or by using your fingers. I prefer the latter. The consistency is quite balmy but gritty due to the sugar combined with the balm.
It makes such a difference to my lips. It exfoliates well and rids my dry lips of any dryness and flakey skin while still moisturising them all at once, leaving them feeling super soft and prepped for lipstick. It is so much easier to use the scrub stick rather than a separate balm and lip scrub. Who needs two different products when you have it all in one? It'll definitely come in handy this A/W when my lips really feel the cold breeze. The Scrub Stick is £6.50 and you can find it here.
The Lip Vinyl is essentially a richly pigmented liquid lipstick but with a glossy finish without the stickiness that a normal lipgloss would give. There is a total of 10 shades within the range that cater for every single skin tone. I have the shade Naked Pink. It is a beautiful dusty nude pink shade which is one of my favourite kind of shades to wear. It's very wearable and an easy shade to pull off with any makeup look.
There are various ways to apply the Lip Vinyls, you can either apply it straight from the wand giving off a bold kinda vibe or dab it onto the lips with fingers or lip brush for a natural and stained lips kinda look. I much prefer to apply it straight from the wand as I love an opaque finish. There is also an option to pair the Lip Vinyl with the matching LIPSStick for a better, more intense finish. You can save money by purchasing them together rather than individually in the Perfect Partners range here. They are just £10 together as a set which I think is a pretty affordable and reasonable price. The Lip Vinyls separately are £7 each, and you can find them here.
