There's nothing I love better than a new collection, or more specifically, a limited edition collection. This Spring Maybelline have put together a selection of their best selling products with the most dreamy, LE silver holographic packaging, but as always with a limited edition collection they're only available for a short period of time. The collection consists of a total of five different products and are available to buy now, until the 30th May, exclusively from Superdrug.
First in the collection are the *Master Strobing Sticks(£7.99) in Light-Irridiscent and Nude Glow. They are a pretty effective way of achieving that strobing effect with minimal effort. Light-Irridiscent is a gorgeous pearly pink and my highlighter of choice when I go for a toned down makeup look and I find it best applied straight from the stick and tapped straight onto the skin. Nude Glow isn't the best shade for my skin tone though as it appears slightly too dark against my ghostly pale complexion, however it is much better suited towards those with medium-dark skintones.
I was also excited to see the *Master Ink Liner(£5.99) in Black. It is a very intense black which dries down to a matte finish after a minute or two of applying. The thin nib makes it so easy to glide along the lash line to draw out a wing too.
Also alongside them is the Age Rewind Concealer(£7.99) and The Falsies Push Up Drama Mascara(£7.99). Admittedly I have never actually tried the Age Rewind Concealer but it seems to be popular amongst many makeup enthusiasts. It claims to erase fine lines and dark lines while also diminishing puffiness under the eyes. It sounds too good to be true. If you read my review of The Falsies Push Up Drama Mascara then you'll know it was a bit hit and miss for me as it didn't quite deliver in terms of volume, but luckily it made up for that in length.
The most exciting of the five products in the Pixie Collection is a brand new launch, the *Vivid Hot Lacquers. They are so similar to that of the Vivid Matte Liquids but they are entirely different in formula. The Vivid Hot Lacquers are actually a gloss as opposed to a liquid lipstick formula like the Vivid Mattes. Normally I'm not a huge fan of lip glosses. They just remind me of my teenage years when I used to wear lipgloss that looked so gloopy, messy and always got stuck to my hair. Urgh, it sends a shiver up my spine. Luckily these have changed the way I feel about glosses in general. The Vivid Hot Lacquers are available in a variety of shades, although I only have three of them; Slay It(Vampy Plum), Unreal(Brown Nude) and Obsessed(Medium Raspberry). As far as I'm aware these three shades are the only ones with the LE packaging.
They are so comfortable, creamy and easy to wear, not to mention highly pigmented, and they add a beautiful shine to the lips too which make your lips appear juicy and plump. My favourite of the three is of course Unreal, just because it's an extremely wearable shade, and if you know me well, you know I love my nude colours.
Top-Bottom; Unreal, Obsessed, Slay It
You can find the entire Pixie Collection here. All products are available to buy individually or you can choose to pick up a bundle in Light or Medium. If you buy all five in a singular bundle then you can expect to save yourself just under £20(£18.95 to be exact) as they're selling for just £20. That's such an incredible saving! I'd take advantage of it as soon as I can. Although the Pixie Collection is only available until the 30th you can still purchase the products in the original packaging once the collection is off the shelves.
