The Blogger Made Me Buy It

I have to admit ever since I started blogging and reading other beauty blogs I have found myself purchasing beauty products more now than ever before, most of which are influenced by my favourite bloggers. You can see it as a good thing or a bad thing. You may just discover an absolute gem that you'd never have heard of otherwise, but it can tug on the ol' purse strings and leave your purse as light as a feather. It depends on how you view it. I must admit not all products I've bought have become favourites of mine, in fact a fair few have been a disappointment and never been repurchased. I thought I'd share the products that have well and truly won me over.

The Blogger Made Me Buy It

First off is an eyeshadow palette. I cannot for the life of me remember who swayed me towards buying the Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Palette(£41) but boy am I glad I got it. I was completely wowed by how pigmented the shades are when looking at the swatches, particularly the mattes as they're normally a disappointment and not of the best quality, but luckily they weren't like that at all. All of the shadows within the palette are so buttery, easy to blend and true to colour. It's definitely a palette that has it all.

For the last two years I have been completely besotted with the Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade(£15). This paired with the Large Synthetic Brow Brush(also from ABH) make for the ultimate dream team to up your brow game, seriously. My brows have never looked so wonderfully sculpted. I use the shade Medium Brown which is pretty much the perfect match to my brows. It stays in place throughout the day too, with zero smudging, even through terrible weather conditions. Admittedly, it does dry out quickly, but the trick is to add a little drop of baby oil each time, it works a treat. I'm still on my first pot two years later so it's sure lasted me a long time.
A lipstick that had been on my wishlist for quite a while is the Charlotte Tilbury K.I.S.S.I.N.G Lipstick in Bitch Perfect(£24) after seeing it mentioned time and time again on numerous beauty blogs. I have to admit the name is what initially drew me in at first, along with the beautiful rose gold packaging and it's description as being the 'perfect peachy nude'. It completely lives up to that I have to admit. It's super nourishing and creamy on the lips and looks so flattering against my pale skin. It is so dreamy!

For quite a while I had heard so many great things about Jouer Cosmetics through beauty gurus, both on the blogging platform and YouTube. There were many mentions about their lip cremes and so naturally I added a few shades onto my wishlist. Not so along ago I decided to go for it and purchased just the one Jouer Lip Creme in Dulce De Leche(£15). I haven't stopped raving about it since I bought it, it's become one of my favourite liquid lipstick formulas. Dulce De Leche is a gorgeous neutral pinky nude(my favourite kinda shade) and it glides onto the lips so smoothly, leaving a matte but comfortable finish. It smells pretty good too, it almost reminds me of salted caramel. It is quite a sickly sweet scent so if you're not into your sweet scents then you may not take to it well. I already have a few more shades in my basket on Cult Beauty, ready for me to hit the checkout button come payday.

My primer of choice for the best part of 2-3 years has been the Stila One Step Correct(£24). Again I cannot remember who introduced me to it but I remember being completely intrigued by the whole concept of a 4 in 1 multipurpose product. It claimed to do exactly four things; colour correct, brighten the skin, prime and act as an anti-ageing serum too. It sounded so impressive so of course I had to try it out for myself. It does exactly what it says it claims to do. I apply a pea sized amount onto my face and it instantly brightens and evens out my complexion whilst reducing redness and my foundation sticks to it rather well too. It's pretty much a miracle worker, I love it.

The Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara(£19) was the mascara that had people talking, not just because of the kinky name and cute pink packaging but there was so much hype surrounding it. My lashes are naturally poker straight and they look pretty non-existent without mascara but the Better than Sex Mascara made quite a huge difference. Not only does it have a blacker than black wet formula but it dries down quickly and adds plenty of volume and length. Take a look at my review here to learn more.

I may or may not have been tempted by another highlighter(not that I need anymore), thanks to the gorgeous Sarah. I spotted a photo of the Laura Geller Baked Gelato Swirl Illuminator in Charming Pink(£21) on her Instagram and quickly googled swatches. From then on I knew I had to have it and hours later I found myself checking out on Debenhams. It's a gorgeous light pink shade which adds a wonderful subtle glow to the skin. Admittedly I'm always more into my 'blinding' highlighters but this has my heart right now, it's gorgeous. I have Peach Glow on my list to buy next.
