An Instant Beauty Fix? | The Lilibeth of New York Brow Shaper

It's always been important for me to keep my brows preened to perfection since I was a teenager. Luckily I never went through the phase of plucking my eyebrows to the extent that they were so thin that they wouldn't grow back. Instead I kept my brows as they were, slightly bushy, albeit sparse in some areas.

I wasn't always happy with my eyebrows though. It wasn't until I was maybe 17 that I started to take pride in my appearance and used tweezers to pluck my eyebrows for the first time. I've always found them super easy to use to shape and define my brows, however sometimes I didn't always get the results I wanted. Hairs would be a little too difficult to grip onto and it was so painful too. As well as that it was a pain to keep on top of the maintenance. They always grew back so quickly, so on I went to try something different.

After much deliberation I tried out the HD brows treatment which is a bespoke eyebrow treatment where a stylist uses a combination of threading, tinting, plucking, waxing and trimming, and then finishes up with hd brow makeup. I loved the overall result but at £25 a pop it wasn't something I could put money towards every month, plus it was a little bit more painful with the combination of different hair removal treatments.

I've since been trying out something a little bit different. A few weeks ago I was introduced to the Lilibeth of New York Brow Shaper(£7.49), one of the newest beauty tools, which sculpts out and defines the brows without any need to use alternative methods such as waxing, threading or plucking.

It resembles the old school straight razor that you would see most barbers use. It folds up so it's safe and easy to store anywhere which I like. The stainless steel shaper feels blunt and is designed to be kind to the skin so it doesn't cut, irritate or encourage regrowth. I'm happy to confirm that it doesn't do any of those things. I have used the shaper multiple times, on myself and my younger sister and it's so simple to use. I have been plucking my sisters eyebrows for years and she was pleasantly surprised that it was pain-free. All you have to do is glide the knife against the hairs you want to remove, and it does so with ease. It isn't painful in the slightest which is something I hugely dislike about hair removal.

Not only is it handy at removing brow hairs, but you can also use it to remove any other unwanted hairs from your bikini line, upper lip, chin, hair line, toes, knuckles, and you can even use it to remove peach fuzz and shape your stubble too. It's something for both genders to use.

It also doubles up as a dermaplanning tool too! My skin can get quite dry in some areas which, when combined with makeup, looks far more obvious than usual. I like to use it to remove any dry skin on my face so when it comes to applying makeup, it sits well on the skin. It really makes quite a difference!

There are so many other benefits to using the shaper as a dermaplanning tool. It provides deeper product penetration, promotes smoother skin, reduces the appearance of acne scars and removes any soft hair which traps oil and dirt.

It's quite the multipurpose product and an absolute dream to use. I have completely stopped using my tweezers and replaced them with the brow shaper now. I will be replacing it with a brand new one as soon as the recommended 2/3 months of use is up.

You can buy the Lilibeth of New York Brow Shaper from Instant Beauty Fix for just £7.49 separately, or in a pack of two for £14.95. That will not make a dent in your bank balance at all. I'd say that's quite a bargain. You can buy the shaper in a variety of different colours too so if you're not into hot pink then there's an option of black, aqua, purple and baby pink.

Will you be trying the Lilibeth of New York Brow Shaper?
