A Beauty Christmas Gift Guide

To conclude my Christmas Gift Guides for the year is the Beauty Gift Guide of course. There are so many incredible beauty gifts out at the moment from various brands, both high end and drugstore. It's hard to know where to start. I know how difficult it is to buy for a beauty obsessed person so I'm hoping this will help you out, especially if you're a man buying for your other half, sister, mum etc. I have chosen a variety of products for this Gift Guide which vary in price. Some would make great presents for under the tree, and others would be fantastic stocking fillers.

A Beauty Christmas Gift Guide

Non Beauty Christmas Gift Guide for Her

We are finally in the final month of my year, and the most expensive month at that. This year has gone way too quickly for my liking. I have actually finished my Christmas present shopping now, which is such a relief. Who knew that could be so stressful? I know many of you are probably still shopping for presents so I have a few ideas to help you out. I only have three Christmas Gift Guides up this year. You can read through my very first Christmas Gift Guide here. It's in collaboration with Chemist.co.uk which is very exciting! You'd be surprised what amazing gifts you can buy from a chemist/pharmacy.

Now onto my second Gift Guide, which is Non Beauty, and all for women too. There aren't many gift ideas within this gift guide, but they are all very thoughtful and beautiful gifts. I personally would love to be gifted any of them(and I'm not just saying that because they're gifted). I would never feature any products that I wouldn't buy myself.

Shopping My Makeup Stash

I find myself buying makeup now more than ever lately and old favourites of mine have been put to the back of my makeup drawers and forgotten about, and then replaced with new products. Having a makeup obsession is an extremely expensive habit, and I've decided to rein that in a bit, especially as it's coming up to the most expensive time of the year(Christmas). To save the pennies I've decided to shop my stash, which means I will be going through my makeup drawers and using up my old and forgotten products instead of purchasing anything new.

I haven't necessarily chosen one product per category; foundation, powder, concealer etc, but I've gone for a few products which I think deserves so much more love. There are a few makeup products which I was completely obsessed with at one stage, but soon got lost among the many new beauty launches I'd bought into.

Chemist.co.uk Christmas Gift Guide for Him and Her

Oh heck, this month is going by fast isn't it? Christmas is quickly approaching and I'm not even near finishing my Christmas Present shopping yet. As much as I love shopping for presents though, I do find it a bit of a struggle sometimes. My parents are easy to buy for, but what do I buy my sister, brother etc? They're always so fussy and difficult to buy for. Does anyone else have that issue with their siblings? Luckily I haven't had that issue this year.

I am forever searching the high street and online for the best Christmas gifts, but at a good price. What can I say? I love myself a bargain buy. It saves the pennies, plus Christmas isn't about gifting or receiving presents is it? It's about spending time with family. I do like gifting presents though. I just love seeing the expressions on their faces as they open their present. It's one of the nicest feelings.

Huda Beauty Amethyst Obsessions Palette Review and Swatches

I have been lusting over Huda Beauty palettes for god knows how long. I've been meaning to pick up the Rose Gold Remastered palette for a while now but I was always so put off by the price tag. For me to spend £56 on an eyeshadow palette, it has to be good. Before splashing my cash on that one palette, I wanted to give one of their Mini Obsessions Palettes a try so I could get the gist of how the eyeshadows work, how pigmented they are etc.

October Beauty Favourites

What the heck, it's November already? The last year hasn't been the best. It's had it's ups and downs, and I'm really looking forward to starting afresh next year. Not only that, but it's not long until Christmas either. 47 days left to be exact! And I'm waaaay too excited for it. My favourite thing is seeing the boys faces as they open their presents. I can't wait until they're all old enough to experience the magical day.

Now that October has been and gone, we can focus on the festive season. But before we move on, I wanted to go through my October Beauty Favourites. Last month was an interesting month in the beauty world. There's been so many new releases, and I just haven't been able to keep up. There's so much that I want. I have a christmas list as long as my arm(though I'm not expecting to get everything).

Rimmel Stay Satin Lip Colour Review and Swatches

Over a month or so ago I was lucky enough to win one of Rimmels PR packages on Twitter. It was a huge shock and very unexpected. A few days later a huge package arrived in the form of a boom box which was pretty cool, and inside there was the full range of their Stay Satin Lip Colours, alongside their brand new Maxi Blushes. I have since been putting the Stay Satin Lip Colours to the test, and I am pleased to say I'm so impressed.

Ardell Beauty Mascaras

A while ago I was kindly sent out four new mascaras to try out from Ardell Beauty. You may have heard of Ardell before as they're quite popular for their false eyelashes, but they've since delved into makeup too, and they now have their own makeup line. Ardell Beauty have a whole range of beauty products, from foundation, to eyeshadow palettes, lipsticks, and so much more.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Soft Glam Eyeshadow Palette Review and Swatches

Out of the many high end brands on the beauty market, Anastasia Beverly Hills is one of my absolute favourites. I bought my very first product from ABH about three or four years ago when they were only stocked in the US. They had pretty hefty shipping fees and taxes, and as much as I loved the brand, I just couldn't afford to fork out the cash to keep ordering from them. Luckily for me, the brand is now stocked on my favourite beauty sites (Cult Beauty & Beauty Bay), and they even have their own UK website too, which now makes ordering from them a whole lot easier.

Achieving Fuller Lips With the PMD Kiss Lip Plumping System

Throughout my life I have never been truly happy with how I looked. I was bullied at school due to my appearance. I was told that I was anorexic, ugly and disgusting. I was called many things. Some too horrible to even mention. Now while my school days are long gone, I still have insecurities about myself. In fact I have even more insecurities now since I've had the boys, but that's a subject I will touch upon another time.

I've always nit picked at different areas of my body. My lips weren't necessarily my biggest issue, but it was something I wished to change. I would never commit to fillers, ever. While lip filler seems to give a nice plumped appearance, I was aware of the many things that can go wrong. It's just not for me. I wanted to go down the more 'natural' route, and that's where the PMD Kiss Lip Plumping System came in.

September Beauty Favourites

I seriously cannot believe how quick this year has gone. We are already in October and we are just a few weeks away from Halloween, and it's also only 77 days until Christmas too(not that I'm counting). I am sad to say goodbye to the warm weather we've been having. I certainly don't cope well in the Autumn, though I do love everything else that comes with it. The leaves falling off the trees, the cosy coats and scarves, and being able to cosy up under the blanket with a film on. I just love that.

September was one of my favourite months in terms of discovering new beauty products. Some have been favourites of mine for a while, but I've just not managed to share them with you yet.

September Beauty Favourites 2018

The Sweet Body Treats from Bilou

I was first introduced to Bilou through Zoe Sugg. She had featured the brand in one of her PR haul videos on Youtube and I was instantly drawn into the brand. Not only is the packaging of the products fun, colourful and a little bit quirky, but the thought of smelling like a delicious iced donut had me licking my lips. I mean, who doesn't want to smell like a freshly baked donut? I am a sucker for sweet scents!

Bilou hails from Germany and was founded by a succesful youtuber(Bibis Beauty Palace) and only just launched here in the UK late last year. They currently stock three delicious treats for the body- the Gentle Cream Foam, Creamy Shower Foam and the 2 in 1 Bodyspray, and the good news is that they are all vegan friendly too. This makes me so happy!

A New Haircare Brand: Design.ME Hair

A few months ago I was introduced to one of the newest haircare brands on the market called Design.ME. The brand originates from North America and has only just landed on british waters, or shall I say Sally Beauty.. They currently stock six products at the moment; Puff.Me, Puff.Me Light, Powerdry.Me, Fab.Me, Hold.Me and the only hair tool in the range- the 2" Round Brush. I have had the pleasure of trying out three of them.

One of my favourite things about this particular brand is that it's not only cruelty-free and vegan friendly but their products are also free from the ingredients that irritates my hair and scalp the most(parabens and sulphates). This makes me super happy.

Imperial Leather Limited Edition Fantasy Icons Shower Gel

Guess what? I'm baaaaaack. I was totally exaggerating that in my head, but yes, indeed, I am back, a month later, but it feels like a lot longer than that. I took a hiatus from my blog for personal reasons that I won't go into, but I have been missing it a heck of a lot more than I thought I would. Whilst yes, I have been more absent than I have been active here on the blog, the time away gave me time to think about what I want from this little space of mine on the internet. In the past it was more of a hobby than anything. It was a place to share my love for Beauty with like minded people like yourselves. It still is a hobby, but I'm at that stage where I wish I could make it into something more. I mean, right now it's impossible to make my blog a full time job and commit to certain things, but hopefully in the near future that will happen. Looking after three boys under four can be quite hectic so I struggle to find an inbetween. I'm a stay at home mum and Josh works so the only time I really have to myself is when the boys are asleep. It'll gradually get easier, but at the moment I'm just going with the flow. I post as and when I feel like it. I cannot for the life of me keep to a schedule. I commend anyone who can, especially if you're a parent and juggling children like I am currently doing.

That aside, I have my mojo back and I'm ready to get back into it. I have to introduce to you my favourite body products of the moment, the Imperial Leather Fantasy Icons Shower Gels. There are currently four Limited Edition shower gels- Mermazing, Let's Flamingle, Tropic like it's Hot and Cosmic Unicorn.

Pick n Melt Wax Melts | Review

Just a few months ago I was sent a wonderful box full of goodies from Pick n Melt, and to my surprise in that box was not one, but 12 of their scented wax melts from their Spring Wax Collection, alongside their very own Pick n Melt Ceramic Wax Warmer.

Firstly I absolutely adore the name of the brand and I love the packaging. It reminds me of the good old days where I would pop into Woolworths with my parents as a child and grab a pick n mix sweet bag for being on my 'best behaviour'. Can anyone remember Woolworths(or Woolies, as me and my parents used to call it)?

Cloud 9 Skin Solutions | Good Night Deep Nourishing Sleep Mask & Tranquility Ultra Smoothing Cream

This review has been a long time coming. I was kindly sent out the Good Night Deep Nourishing Sleep Mask and Tranquility Ultra Smoothing Cream from Cloud 9 Skin Solutions back in November, but unfortunately I wasn't able to use the mask in question as it included an ingredient I wasn't able to use in my pregnancy. Now fast forward nearly a year on and I've had Oscar, so I've been putting the two through their paces.

I had never tried anything from Cloud 9 Skin Solutions before. It is an entirely new brand to me. The story behind the brand is actually quite inspiring. The very first product launched was the Nature's Miracle Soothing Leg and Varicose Vein Treatment. They developed this after working with multiple scientists and researchers to formulate a cream which would effectively relieve, soothe and ease the symptoms of Varicose Veins. The inspiration behind creating this one product was a family member which suffered with severe pain caused by the condition. Since that successful launch they then went on to create many different skincare products to treat different skin concerns.

Good Night Deep Nourishing Sleep Mask

I was actually a little sceptical of the Sleep Mask when it first landed on my doorstep. It seemed like it was perhaps a little too good to be true. It claims to restore and revive dehydrated skin overnight. That's a pretty strong claim right? It contains Avocado Oil to nourish and it's also rich in Vitamins A, B12 and E to help restore collagen and prevent wrinkles and fine lines from appearing. Now, I am only 24 years old, but I truly believe prevention is key, rather than treating it down the line when they've appeared.

The mask is packaged within a sturdy purple bottle with a pump intact which makes it easy to dispense the cream. I find it much more hygienic than digging around in a pot, that's for sure.

I have been applying it straight to my face at least once or twice a week after cleansing and drying for the past couple of weeks, and I am pleased to say, I really do like it. I thought I wouldn't, but alas I was wrong. After cleansing and drying my face I massage a thin layer onto my face(at least one or two pumps per application) as instructed then I hit the hay and leave it to work its magic overnight.

The next morning my skin feels really supple and hydrated and I have a somewhat brighter complexion too. I look so much more healthy and it makes me look more awake and energetic after using it, which is exactly what I need as a mum of three boys under four. The Sleep Mask also did a fab job of eliminating every single dry patch detected on my skin too. It is slightly pricey at £38 for 50ml but I truly think it's a price worth paying for the results.

Cloud 9 Skin Solutions

Tranquility Ultra Smoothing Cream

This is targeted towards those that suffer with extreme dryness and red inflamed scaling skin. It includes ingredients such as Vitamin B12 and Avocado Oil to help soothe sensitive areas by moisturising and nourishing the skin. It is also free from parabens, formaldehyde, sulphates, colours/dyes, phthalates, sls, sles and deas.

The cream comes packaged within a silver squeezy tube, which I have to admit isn't my favourite as I hate to waste product, but I guess it does the job.

The cream is rather thick and rich in texture and it also has a pink tint to it from the presence of B12 which you can actually see through the packaging. Thankfully the pink tint doesn't translate on the skin or stain the skin and clothing.

I don't particularly have dry skin all the time, but every time a dry patch pops up on my skin, I've used this. I apply a small amount of the cream on those drier areas of my face and body(cheeks, between the brows, knees, elbows and feet). I find that a small pea sized amount of the cream is all I need. If I use anymore than that on my face I look like a grease ball. The cream takes a little while to sink in but once it does my skin looks almost new, and it feels so much softer too. It's a skin saviour! You can purchase a smaller 30ml tube for £19 or for the bigger 50ml size you can buy it for £36.

Have you tried anything from Cloud 9 Solutions before? What are your thoughts?

Seoulista Beauty Sheet Masks

I seem to have quite the obsession with face masks at the moment- sheet masks in particular. At least one night a week I like to catch up with my favourite shows on Netflix whilst also indulging in a relaxing soak in the bath with a sheet mask firmly on my face. It's the only time I really have to myself so I like to make the most of that.

I have tried a few sheet masks over the last year or so and while some of them have been hits with me, I've tried at least one or two that didn't quite hit the spot. There are many sheet masks on the market that seem to do nothing for the skin. Yes, they'd maybe moisturise the skin a little, but would they soothe my breakouts? brighten my skin? or possibly minimise my pores? Yes, sometimes, or not at all. Luckily the majority of sheet masks that I've tried out has worked for me.

July Beauty Favourites

Yet again, I missed another monthly beauty favourites. I combined my April and May favourites and completely forgot about June. In my defence June was one hell of a month. I had just given birth to Oscar in the beginning of June and since then it's just been manic. I've barely had any time for myself, but that comes with being a mum of three boys under the age of four. I wouldn't change it for the world though. The only time I really have to myself is when the boys are in bed so I like to take advantage of that free time to just relax, which is why I haven't blogged consistently for a while. I've just been lacking the motivation. I've been binge watching shows on Netflix instead. Speaking of Netflix, please share some recommendations on what I should watch next. I've just finished How to Get Away with Murder(which is so bloomin' good fyi) and I've recrntly caught up with OITNB too.

Anywaaaay.. moving on. Here are my favourite beauty products throughout July!

Get that Glow with My Favourite Highlighters

Highlighter is the greatest thing that has ever happened to the beauty world. There, I said it. If there is one thing I cannot be without in my makeup routine it is highlighter. It makes such a difference to the way my skin looks. One swipe of it on my cheekbones, cupids bow, forehead and decolletage goes a long way. I have so many highlighters in my collection, I couldn't possibly tell you how many I have without looking through my entire stash. I have quite an obsession with it.

Although I have quite a collection of them, I have been using some more than others. In fact I've only been reaching for three out of my entire stash this Spring/Summer. Unfortunately they're not entirely affordable. They are priced between £19 and £30.

A Baby Announcement and My Birth Story

Only a few months ago I let you into a little secret of mine. I was expecting baby number three! It was a shock to many, including myself and Josh. After our 20 week scan we were told we were expecting yet another little boy and we were given an EDD(estimated due date) of the 7th June 2018. I didn't share much throughout my third pregnancy but after a long wait, he arrived on the 9th June, two days past his due date. I didn't expect to go full term as both Alfie and Harrison were born earlier so it was quite a surprise. He really was waay too comfortable in there, haha.

We already decided on our boys name way before he was born. In fact, me and Josh talked about it and agreed to the name as soon as we came out from our 20 week scan and we stuck with it. We named our bundle of joy Oscar. He arrived weighing a very healthy 8lbs 15oz. I was absolutely shook when I was told his weight. My midwife said I hid him well, haha.

St Tropez Extra Dark Bronzing Mousse | Review

For the best part of two/three years I was an absolute tanning fanatic, though I had never tried spray tans or sun beds. Nuh-uh, I was all about the fake kind. I just couldn't afford to witter away £20+ everytime I wanted to top up so fake tan was an easier and cheaper option for me. I have tried many brands of fake tan, from St Moriz to L'Oreal and St Tropez. Speaking of St Tropez, they recently released a new product; the Extra Dark Bronzing Mousse which I was very kindly sent out to try.

Whitewash Nano Daily Whitening Regime | Review

If there is one thing I am super self conscious about it's my teeth. From a young age I never had the best looking teeth, despite taking very good care of them. I had an overbite which a couple of people had pointed out during my school years. I was pointed at, laughed at and I was even nicknamed 'Bugs Bunny' by a few classroom bullies, which is enough to make anyone feel embarassed and upset by their appearance. Thankfully since then my overbite has been corrected through a couple of years of wearing braces, and then onto a double jaw surgery operation. It was quite a dramatic move to make, but it seems to have been for the best, though I still have a few issues with my teeth now.

I am still not yet comfortable with smiling with my teeth, even though they are straighter. I've always wanted them to be much whiter, though I never wanted to invest a lot of money in my bid for whiter teeth so I always tried cheaper alternatives instead, most of which were whitening toothpastes.

For the last couple of months I've been testing out the Whitewash Nano Daily Whitening Regime in my bid to achieve whiter teeth, but did it get a thumbs up, or a thumbs down?

April and May Beauty Favourites

How are we nearly at the end of May already? I feel like this year is already going way too fast for my liking, but of course, as we are getting closer to the end of May that means we are getting closer to my due date too. I am 38 weeks and 3 days along as of today which is super exciting, but I am also feeling a bit 'meh' lately too. I just cannot wait to meet little man number 3, but the pain is excruciating as of late, making it so difficult to even find the tiniest bit of motivation to blog. Yes, I am still in pain and swollen everywhere but I seem to have found that motivation today, thank god.

Anyway, putting that exciting news aside, as it's been way too long to post an Aprils Favourites, I thought I'd combine it with this months too, although there isn't too much to share. I've been using the same products over the last two months. I've become quite attached to them, and for good reason.

April and May Beauty Favourites

Masque Bar Metallic Foil Sheet Masks

As I've mentioned many times before, my skin is all over the place right now, which I put down to pregnancy and hormonal changes. I have been keeping my skin in check by indulging in a face mask or two per week and putting a strict skincare regime in place, and I like to think it's really working for me.

Now over the last few months I have been trying out different face masks, including peel-off masks, clay masks and charcoal face masks, but the ones that I am really favouring over those are sheet masks. They are simple, effective, easy to use, and best of all, they are mess-free. I guess you could say I like the easy option. I mean, all you have to do is whack it out a packet and place it on your face and leave it to work its magic. Pretty simple, eh?

I have tried a few sheet masks over the last few years(though I haven't tried an extortionate amount), but the latest ones that I have put to the test are the Masque Bar Metallic Foil Sheet Masks. I previously tried out the Masque Bar Pretty Animalz Sheet Masks(which I really loved) so I was intrigued to give the new foil sheet masks a go.

There are three different options to choose from; Rose Gold, Silver or Gold. I have put two of the three to the test, Rose Gold and Gold

Palmer's Olive Oil Hair Range Review

At times my hair can be far from manageable. It's thin, coloured, knotty, somewhat dry and seriously lacking in the volume department, so I am always trying out and testing new hair products to help address those issues. I previously tried the Shea Moisture Smooth and Tame Argan Oil and Almond Milk Range out(which I really loved) but beforehand I put the Palmer's Olive Oil Hair Range to the test.

Palmer's currently have a very extensive range of products using their Olive Oil formula(twelve to be specific), and I have been trying out four of them. I have been trying out the Olive Oil Smoothing Shampoo, Replenishing Conditioner, Weightless Shine Dry Oil Mist and the Deep Conditioner.

The Olive Oil Formula is most specifically designed for those with hair that is prone to frizz. I am quite prone to frizz and it can be a challenge to fix it, especially when it's exposed to damp and humid weather.

A Mini Revolution Makeup Haul

Just last week myself and Josh took ourselves off into town with Harrison whilst Alfie was at nursery. We didn't plan to treat ourselves to anything, but I did, although I wasn't super spendy. I popped into Superdrug to see if there was anything new or worth picking up and I ended up coming out of the shop with three things, all of which are from Revolution(previously known as Makeup Revolution). I don't make a habit of buying new makeup lately so it was a real treat for me, though everything I bought was really inexpensive.

NIA(Not into Aging) Skincare Review

For the last few months now I've been trying out some new skincare from a brand I had never tried, nor heard of before called NIA(Not into Aging). They are an American brand which is currently stocked in Macy's and Ulta, and has only just made it's way to UK shores.

They produce a number of products which not only help to prevent the signs of early aging but are also made specifically to combat the stressors and effects of daily life, from sleeping in your makeup(which I've done multiple times, I'm ashamed to say) to late nights, hangovers and even looking down at your phone.

Crown Brush | A Hit or a Miss?

One thing that I really appreciate as a blogger is the opportunity to discover and play around with new products from brands I would never have heard about otherwise, and one of those brands are Crown Brush. The very first time I had heard of them was back in 2013 I believe, when I first started blogging(I know, it's been such a long time!). I always read such great reviews, but somehow I never really got around to trying anything out from them, until now.

I'm sure most of you will have heard of Crown Brush by now, but if you haven't, well, here's the lowdown. They first started off manufacturing brushes 35 years ago, but they also have a whole range of other products too, from makeup palettes to base products and even eyelashes too. There seems to be something for everyone. They are neither a high end brand, or drugstore. They sit firmly in the middle. The difference between Crown Brush and many other brands is that they're not only a brand, but a beauty manufacturer too, so the products that you're getting are coming directly from the manufacturer, instead of being distributed out, which means you get top quality products at a reduced price. Now that, I like.

High End Makeup that's Worth the Money

When it comes to makeup, I have quite the mixture of products in my collection, from the drugstore and high end. I am really not fussy, as long as the products are of good quality and do the best job for me. As of late I seem to be reaching towards a lot of high end makeup that I really do love, however my makeup routine doesn't purely consist of just high end. I do have some high street pieces too that I adore.

I know that buying from the higher end of the beauty market can be quite overwhelming as there's so much to choose from, and of course money is a huge thing too as things can be quite pricey, so I thought I'd share some of my favourite bits that I really truly believe is worth the money.

Kiko Milano Gold Waves Summer Collection | Gold Waves Blush and Highlighter

A few weeks ago myself, Josh and Alfie, alongside my younger sister took a rare day trip out to Exeter, whilst Harrison spent some quality time with his grandparents. We had a wonderful time! Alfie made his very first Build a Bear and me and my sister shopped until we literally dropped. Retail therapy was exactly what I needed, despite being run off my swollen feet. For the first time I actually had some restraint. I didn't buy as much as I usually would, which not only surprised me, but Josh too.

While I was in Exeter I spotted that there was a brand new Kiko Milano store. I have never tried anything from Kiko before, but they are a brand that I'd wanted to try this year, and alas I have. As soon as I entered the store, I was drawn to the first stand which was full of their brand new Summer Collection called Gold Waves. I pretty much wanted everything but I restrained myself and only bought two products from the collection.

March Beauty Favourites

March wasn't the best month in terms of discovering new favourites. Most of the time I was using the same products. I have a habit of doing so, but I promise I'm trying. I find it so hard to detach myself from them, so don't be too surprised by the lack of makeup favourites compared to previous months. I also found that I was makeup free during the first half of the month too as it was quite a busy time. I just didn't really find the time to do much as I was just rushed off my feet, running errands, looking after the boys and having family time. It was quite a nice change to be barefaced and letting my skin breathe, although I cant really say whether my skin was thankful for it. It's been all over the place lately, and I blame these damn pregnancy hormones.

Anyway, without further ado, let's get into my March Beauty Favourites shall we?

New In from Maybelline | Total Temptation Mascara and Brow Definer

Back in February Maybelline launched their latest collection to date, the Total Temptation makeup collection, which consists of three products, the Total Temptation Mascara, Eyeshadow and Highlight Palette and Brow Definers. I have had the pleasure of trying out the Mascara and Brow Definer over the last two months, which has given me more than enough time to gather my thoughts together and report back to you.

Reviving my Skin with Janjira

I am always switching up my skincare based on how my skin is looking/feeling every couple of weeks. This pregnancy has taken a toll on my skin. It changes all the time. One day my skin would look flawless(or as near to flawless as you can get) and the next day it would be a whole different story. It's so annoying. When my skin is looking tired and dull I like to remedy that with two products from Janjira, the Illuminating Day Cream and Instant Brightening Bubble Mask from their Marine Radiant White skincare range.

Reviving My Skin with Janjira

Shea Moisture Argan Oil and Almond Milk Smooth and Tame Shampoo and Conditioner

I have thin, coloured hair which can be quite unruly at times. It tangles up like no other and the ends of my hair tend to get quite dry and frizzy, especially when using any heat tools(though I tend to avoid them most of the time). In the past I excessively used heat products(straighteners, hairdryer, curling wands etc) and I also dyed my hair multiple times a month. My hair was in quite a nasty state as you can imagine, but luckily it's a lot better than what it was, though not back to it's 'virgin' state.

Now, as I mentioned, my hair can get quite dry and full of frizz so I am always on the lookout for new hair products that not only adds moisture back into my hair, but also tames any frizziness or flyaways. I've been trying out the Shea Moisture Argan Oil and Almond Milk Smooth and Tame Shampoo and Conditioner in the hope it'll improve my hairs texture and make it that little bit more manageable.

Joan Collins First Base Foundation Review

I am a foundation hoarder. I cannot help it, but I am always on the lookout for a new foundation that will make my imperfect skin look, well, perfect. Whilst a foundation cannot get rid of any of my imperfections, it can do a good job at covering them, making me feel so much more confident. Now, as a foundation hoarder I have many different forms of foundation in my stash. There's liquids, creams, powders and even the cushion kind. My favourite formula is a liquid as I find it blends better into my skin compared to the others.

My all time favourite foundation is the Lancome Teint Idole 24hr Ultra Wear Foundation(isn't that a mouthful?), and nothing seems to compare to it, but unfortunately I have ran out of it recently. I have made it my 'mission' to try and test out new foundations since then, and the first I tried is the Joan Collins First Base Foundation(£25).

The Iluma Intense Brightening Exfoliating Powder | Does it Work?

During this pregnancy my skin has hit a new low thanks thanks to the extra hormones, so I've been into my skincare more than ever, hoping to get it back to it's pre pregnancy state. It's said that during pregnancy you'll get that pregnancy glow, and I can honestly say, there's no such thing. Surely it's just a myth? This so called 'pregnancy glow' was nowhere to be seen with my previous pregnancies, nor this one. My skin seems to look dull, tired, run down and I have had multiple breakouts(though some have thankfully cleared up now).

I've been trying various different products over the last couple of months in order to get my skin looking its very best again, and one of those products is the Iluma Intense Brightening Exfoliating Powder by Image Skincare(£40).

February Beauty Favourites

So, back in January I posted my 2017 favourites within different beauty categories and I vowed to bring back monthly favourites after that, and low and behold, here's my February Beauty Favourites. Hopefully I stick to it this time, eh? Yes, I may be a teeny weeny bit late as February ended nearly two weeks ago, but ah well, at least I did it right?

For Christmas I received a lot of new beauty products and I was so excited to try them out that I delved into them straightaway. I then found myself using the same products almost daily throughout January and February, and before I knew it, my old favourites were being cast aside for them.

Colourpop Super Shock Shadow Collection

There's one brand that I've surprisingly not talked about much here on the blog, and that is Colourpop. I have tried many different products from them, my favourites being their Liquid Lipsticks and Super Shock Shadows, so it's unsurprising that I've gained quite a collection of them.

Today I'm going to share with you all of the super shock shadows that I currently own. I have 11 in total, two of which are the same shade. I bought my first ever super shock shadow around two years ago now, and the moment I tried it, my obsession escalated very quickly, and I ended up ordering a ton more on my second order.

Four to Try from Anastasia Beverly Hills

Anastasia Beverly Hills(or ABH for short) has slowly but surely become a favourite brand of mine over the last couple of years. It first started with their Illuminators, which they sadly don't stock anymore, and overtime I've purchased numerous products from them, all of which have never failed me. It's very rare that I like every single product I try from one brand, but I like that, although it doesn't particularly help the old bank balance.

Now, as I mentioned the first product I fell in love with from ABH was the Illuminator- the Starlight Illuminator to be precise. I was so gutted when they discontinued it as the formula and pigmentation was spot on, plus the shade was absolutely perfect for my fair skin. It's so difficult to find a highlighter that isn't too overly pink, nor too dark to suit my skintone so it's disappointing for me. However at this point in time I have plenty of it left and I've not hit pan on it just yet. My fingers are crossed that they'll bring another highlighter shade like Starlight out soon. Pray for me, seriously...

Aside from that fact, there are four other products that I really recommend anyone to try from ABH. Whether you're new to the brand or want to try something new from them, I can help you out. Here's a rundown of my four favourites from Anastasia Beverly Hills.

An Instant Beauty Fix? | The Lilibeth of New York Brow Shaper

It's always been important for me to keep my brows preened to perfection since I was a teenager. Luckily I never went through the phase of plucking my eyebrows to the extent that they were so thin that they wouldn't grow back. Instead I kept my brows as they were, slightly bushy, albeit sparse in some areas.

I wasn't always happy with my eyebrows though. It wasn't until I was maybe 17 that I started to take pride in my appearance and used tweezers to pluck my eyebrows for the first time. I've always found them super easy to use to shape and define my brows, however sometimes I didn't always get the results I wanted. Hairs would be a little too difficult to grip onto and it was so painful too. As well as that it was a pain to keep on top of the maintenance. They always grew back so quickly, so on I went to try something different.

Harrisons Eight Month Update

So, the last time I sat down to update you on Harrison was when he was three months old(see that update here), but now we fast forward a couple of months and he's just turned eight months. How crazy is that? So much has been happening lately. You may have read that I am expecting again this June(read the announcement post here), just 10 days before Harrison's first birthday so it's been rather hectic to say the least. I always said I wanted to post monthly updates to show how he was developing but that obviously never happened. I will not be able to keep up with it now either which is a shame, although I'll make sure to update you every once in a while with how he's getting on.

A New Makeup Brand | Know Cosmetics

A new brand hit our shores a few months ago, coming all the way from the US called Know Cosmetics. They first launched in Sephora but now they've made their way into our UK stores such as Superdrug and Lloyds Pharmacy. If there's one thing I enjoy more than most about being a blogger, it's discovering and trying out new products from brands I probably would never have heard of before.

Know Cosmetics is a brand that has the answer to most makeup problems, whether it'd be bleeding lipstick or dark under eye circles.

As far as I'm aware Know Cosmetics have four products available to buy in the UK and I think there are five in the US. I have been trying out all four of the products that we can currently buy right now. Those products in question are the No Bleeding Lips Lip Liner, No Thin Lips Secret Lip Plumper, No Bare Brows 4 in 1 Brow Fix and No Dark Shadows Concealer.

Valentines Day Gift Guide for Her

Valentines Day can mean different things for many people and you'll probably be celebrating it differently too, whether you're single or in a relationship. If you're in a relationship you may be dining out, going on a romantic walk or spending the day inside, watching netflix with a takeaway and a glass of wine in hand with your loved one. I will most probably be doing the latter, except with a glass of good ol' OJ instead. If you're single though, you could be doing multiple things. Perhaps you'll be enjoying a night out with the girls, dining out, staying in with the family or even going on a date. Whatever you're doing, I hope you have a fabulous day!

Now, there is just two days until the big day! I know how difficult it can be to buy a gift for your significant other, no matter what the occasion is, however Valentines Day is so much more difficult than a Birthday or Christmas I find. Christmas was just under two months ago so you're probably thinking, 'What can I get someone that has everything?'. Well, there's always something a girl wants, let's face it. In my case there is anyway. Something will always catch my eye, whether it's a stunning piece of jewellery, a brand new bag or the newest makeup launch.

I have made it a little bit easier for you if you're struggling to buy a gift for your loved one, or your 'galentine'. I have put together a Valentines Day Gift Guide with a few of my favourite gifts that I'm sure any girl would really appreciate on the day.

I've Been Keeping a Secret!

So, for the last couple of months I have been leaving some little hints over on my Twitter that I have a little big announcement to make over the coming weeks, and now today is the day to tell you exactly what I have been keeping secret. We are expecting another baby boy! You're probably all thinking, well, didn't you just give birth a few months ago? And while yes, I did, I unexpectedly fell pregnant two months after, and you know what? We couldn't be happier. It was such a huge shock at first as you'd expect, but it's a good shock.

I am 23 weeks pregnant now so I am quite far along. He is due to be born on the 7th June 2018, 10 days before Harrisons first birthday so there will be just under a year gap between Harrison and my youngest 'boo bear'. I am hoping that it will bring all the boys super close together. Alfie and Harrison are so close at the moment and it's so sweet to see. I'm sure it will be just as lovely once the littlest one is here.

The Best of Beauty 2017 | Body and Fragrance

Well, I expected this post to be up just before January ended but it didn't go according to plan as I got struck down by a cold, again, for like the hundredth time. Not overreacting of course, haha. As I mentioned previously I won't be doing a January favourites as I was super late on the 'Best of Beauty' bandwagon, but I'm determined to stick to monthly favourites this year. I was all over the place last year and only had at least one or two of my monthly favourites posts go live which I'm so disappointed about. They are one of my favourite posts to write, and I like reading other peoples too. In fact, after reading them my wishlist only get's longer. Hopefully I will actually be sticking to it this time, eh?

Anyway, let's get to it shall we? This is my final instalment of the Best in Beauty of 2017, rounding up all of my favourite fragrances and body products. So what was I loving?

The Best of Beauty 2017 | Skincare and Hair

Last year was a good year for new skincare and hair discoveries. I tried and tested a lot but there was only a few products that were standouts for me. Some of them I have used and repurchased numerous times over the last year or so and others were entirely new to me.

My skin has been an absolute nightmare ever since I hit my teens, and it's still an issue now as I'm entering into my mid 20's. I have had so many problems with scarring, breakouts, enlarged pores. You name it, I probably have it. My skin has never been completely clear, and I've now accepted that it will never be entirely perfect, but thanks to a few skincare products I have noticed improvement and I feel so much more confident in my skin.

As for my hair, well, I've had blonde balayage for the last two years which I absolutely love. It isn't too hard to maintain. I at least have a refresh once or twice a year, depending how I'm feeling or how it's looking. I tried a few new hair products last year that really impressed me, and now I use them on a daily basis.
