April and May Beauty Favourites

How are we nearly at the end of May already? I feel like this year is already going way too fast for my liking, but of course, as we are getting closer to the end of May that means we are getting closer to my due date too. I am 38 weeks and 3 days along as of today which is super exciting, but I am also feeling a bit 'meh' lately too. I just cannot wait to meet little man number 3, but the pain is excruciating as of late, making it so difficult to even find the tiniest bit of motivation to blog. Yes, I am still in pain and swollen everywhere but I seem to have found that motivation today, thank god.

Anyway, putting that exciting news aside, as it's been way too long to post an Aprils Favourites, I thought I'd combine it with this months too, although there isn't too much to share. I've been using the same products over the last two months. I've become quite attached to them, and for good reason.

April and May Beauty Favourites

My first favourite is an absolute blinder, and by that I mean it is seriously blinding. Of course it's gonna be a highlighter, right? I am not one for subtlety. I like a highlighter that's seriously pigmented and intense, just like the Ofra Glazed Donut Highlighter(£25). It was produced in collaboration with one of my favourite youtubers, NikkieTutorials, which is partly one of the reasons why I bought it, but also because I don't have a highlighter shade like it within my collection. It's a gorgeous pearlescent white which suits my skin tone to a tee. It is so incredibly buttery and smooth and the pigmentation is intense from the first swipe. Urgh, it is so beautiful, and I am in love with the formula. I have now got a few more Ofra Highlighters on my wishlist. I need more!

Marc Jacobs fragrances are my absolute favourite fragrances to buy. I have quite a few of them displayed on my dressing table. There is just something that I like about them. The packaging is always so pretty(I mean, look at that glass purple bottle adorned with flowers). How could you possibly resist? I certainly couldn't as soon as I smelt Marc Jacobs Daisy Dream Twinkle(£55, currently £36.85). It is very fresh and floral scented, which is exactly what I like. It's the perfect daytime scent. I have been spritzing it almost daily, and even throughout the day too. I am so gutted it's Limited Edition as it's such a divine scent. I may have to stock up soon as I am going through it so quickly.

I have finally found something to replace my beloved Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer! Well, that was something I never thought I would say, until I tried the Maybelline Fit Me Concealer(£5.99). I have only got round to trying it now as they've just released some new, paler shades. Beforehand the lightest shade was Light which was just way too dark for my skin tone, but the lightest shade is now called Ivory. It is the perfect colour and the formula is wonderful and creamy. It blends into my skin so effortlessly, and the price point isn't so bad either. Would you rather pay £19.50 for UD or £5.99 for Maybelline? I could buy 3 Maybelline concealers for the price of just one UD concealer. I know which one I'll be repurchasing soon..

When it comes to eyeshadow palettes, I mainly opt for higher end over drugstore as they always seem to be of better quality. Well, that's what I thought until I tried the Revolution Re-Loaded Newtrals 2 Palette(£4). I was truly mistaken as the shadows within this palette are just as good as higher end shadows. Not only are they bold and super pigmented, but they are so blendable and easy to use. I'm surprised it's just £4. It most definitely won't break the bank.

And lastly is a moisturiser; the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water-Gel Moisturiser(£12.99) to be precise. It has a lovely lightweight, gel consistency which sinks into the skin ever so quickly. It also has a lovely cooling effect on the skin too which has been really pleasant when the weather has been at it's hottest. I mainly use it first thing in the morning as it leaves my skin feeling really fresh, well hydrated and it actually wakes me up too.
